Welcome to ALEA South Australia
 
ALEA in South Australia is served by the South Australia Council. We are a committed group of literacy educators from all levels and sectors of schooling and education. We are involved within the community in literacy events for the promotion of literacy learning. We plan professional activities for members, share best practice in literacy education and discuss current issues.

The South Australia Council meets at 5.30pm in weeks 3 and 7 of each term at ALEA’s National Office, English House, 416 Magill Road, Kensington.
 
We invite you to become a part of this vibrant group of educators.

SA Young Writers Awards 2007
Why not enter for this year's Young Writer's Award. This prestigious award is conducted by The Advertiser, in conjunction with the South Australian English Teachers' Association. The Young Writers' Award is open to all students from junior primary to high school. Students are invited to submit an original piece of poetry and/or prose. The choice of topic is entirely free. The aim is to encourage creative writing on any subject. Entry forms and further information are available at www2.advertiser.com.au/nie
